Fun, turn based game-play where the object is to eliminate the opposing army using an of your various arsenal of weapons. If you've never played the original Worms game, you're not missing out. This game offers everything the original had and more.
Slight delay with multiplayer.about 5 seconds off.I used to play Worms World Party on my PC and I loved it, so I expected Worms 2 Open Warfare to be just as entertaining. Pros: 1. Numerous ways to play (1P, multiplayer, puzzle, campaign, etc).3. It really is a great game and I'd highly recommend it.
In the meanwhile, I'm practicing my skills by going through the puzzle and campaign modes. Each round can last about 20 minutes, so it's a good timesink. It's great. I'm going on vacation soon and I'll be able to play against my husband during our 3 hour flight.
Fun customization of team names, flag, voices, color, etc.Cons:1. What's great about this game is that it's portable. Hours of entertainment.2. I was right.
You can press a button to say you're ready.just don't click X or you'll fire a weapon randomly and most-likely, you'll hurt yourself :-)2. Easy controls.4. When it's your turn, it says "Ready." and has a 5 second delay.
The customizations options are OK and you can also download some basic stuff.I only wish that more weapons were available, there a 30 or so but some classics are missing.Other thing that bothers me is the new jump mechanics and collision detection, is very odd comparing to previous versions, and after sometime it can get annoying (makes 30 seconds very hard to use fine)Cheers I'm a worms fan since the 2.0 days, so i had high expectations with this game, and all most got 100% fulfilled. The single player mode is extensive and very hard, and the internet multi player option is *very* nice to have, it is nice to blast people around the world.
Very good graphics and it's as funny as the PC game I played for a long time. It's wonderful.
This is one of the best multi-player games out there for us "older" players. The game is in it's classic 2-D format. They are really hard to obtain during battle though. We have played every version since day one and can never put it done. The gameplay is rather smooth and as alwasy, easy to understand. Well, all in all this is the dumbest game on the planet.
:(If you are a Worms fan, then you will buy this anyway. I tried to play on the Internet, but absolutley nobody on playing. On the PSP, it is a little harder to control naturally. There are a few newer weapons than in previous versions. There is one or two landscapes though that are particulary very challenging. The AD-HOC multiplayer works really well with little delay time involved. The newer cut-scenes are hilarious as usual. Dirt is dirt no matter how many ways you rearrange it. That is a nice format, but they do make it too easy to earn coin and unlock items. For being on the PSP, we have the PSP2000, Worms 2 really looks crisp and clean. The landscapes are done rather well, but too many of them remind you of the ones from years ago.
But yet the appeal of this game is mystifying and the game is so addicting. They have rarely come into play yet. If you like the more classic gaming and you have never played this before, give it a try, you might like it. They have a system in place to earn coin after completing things so you can go to the store and unlock campaigns and gear. I swear they could make a cartoon series with these worms.
